NEED HELP QUICK !!!!! PICTURE THIS: ENA AND JANA LIVE 385 MILES APART AND WOULD LIKE TO MEET SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN THEIR HOUSES. IF ENA DRIVES AT 60 MPH AND JANA DRIVES AT 50 MPH, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO MEET?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

velocity = distance/time distance = 385 let distance ena travels = a let distance jana travels = b a+b=385 ---- (1) 60=a/time --> a=60*time 50=b/time --> b=time*50 sub into (1) 60*time+50*time=385 let time = t.... 60t+50t = 385 110t = 385 t=385/110
