In what way is a system of linear equations like three roads out in the desert? In what way is it different? Explain your reasoning.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you can starting thinking like this : a road can be represented with a linear equation. 3 roads => 3 linear equations. ->if all three roads are interseting at one junciton, there is a solution to the system. it gives the juntion point. -> if two roads are parallel, then the third road will intersect these two parallel roads, then solving 1, 3 gives one junction, solving 2, 3 gives another junciton. ... for the difference part, roads in desert can have 2 variables only, where as system of linear equations can have any number of variables... i cant think of any other difference hmm
