Hello! Have you done pset4 (Caesar cipher)? It seems that there is a trap in it! When I try to break the code for the fable, I end up with just a chunk of the cipher decrypted! For the multiple encryption breaking, is the first founded key always the good one ????
did you sort this?
No sort at all! I think I figure out what's going on! When a key decrypts the first word of the remaining ciphertext correctly, I was taking that key as a good one!!! But this is not always the case, since some ciphered words can be decrypted correctly by more than one key!! If you take the bad one, this will make it impossible to find a good key for the next words. Thus, you get stucked! It seems that you can't avoid "total brute force" for this problem!
