Victor drove from Dallas to Houston. After driving 30 miles, he turned on the cruise control in his car and drove at a constant rate of 65 miles per hour for 2.5 hours, then he turned off the cruise control. Which equation can be used to find d, the distance in miles that Victor had driven when he turned off his cruise control? A. d = 30 - 65(2.5) B. d = 65(2.5) C. d = 65 + 30(2.5) D. d = 30 + 65(2.5) and don't tell me the answer how do you work it out?
someone help
ok he already drove 30 miles before putting on the cruise control then he drove 2.5 miles at 65 mph since "distance equals rate times time" we know that he drove \(2.5\times 65\) miles after he put on the cruise control to this add 30 because he already traveled 30 miles
oh i understand now so it would be D. d = 30 + 65(2.5) Thanks now i understand
