can someone please teach me how to graph linear inequalities

OpenStudy (amistre64):

define a boundary line, then shade in the side that is "true"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks im still confused but thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

do you have an example to make this abstract more concrete?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

do you know how to graph lines in general?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y<2x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and no i dont know how to graph lines

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you need to be able to graph a line before knowing how to graph a linear inequality. The second builds upon the first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well ill go and read how to graph lines thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the line y = 2x-3, is a boundary to compare to. So its imporatnt to know how to graph it. Good luck ;)

thank you
