An interval has the notation (-11,-5). find the midpoint: The midpoint will just be half way along the interval, so half way between -11 and -5. Another word for this would be the AVERAGE of -11 and -5. To find this, we do the calculation: \[\frac{-11+(-5)}{2}\] Can you work this out yourself now?

-16/2?

Indeed, and can you simplify that fraction at all?
