Help ?
All you have to do is plug in and check. If you put in the first set.. -12. then -8 they won't be proportional... and you just continue to go thru each one and see what works. If you need help beyond it let me know
It is B then ?
What do you get when you put in 12 for x? Do they equal? What about if you put in 8 are they equal?
I will help you get to the answer but I won't give you the answer straight up or you won't learn.
I don't know how to do this...
Alright so I'll go through an example.. we will use b which is 12 and 8... 1) Plug in 12 for x... Thus it would be.. 5(12)-6 / 12 which is.... 60-6/12 which comes out to equal 4.5 2) Now you plug in the 12 into the other equation.. Thus.. 2(12) 2 which is 12... 3) You can tell right off the back without even putting in the 8 to check that 4.5 = 12 is not proportional....
Thus B would not be the correct answer.. From there you can see how you would do the other choices...so try C and see if it works..
Did you get the answer?
I'm working on it
Okie just let me know if you need additional help
I might of done it wrong but when I followed your stpes I got c as an answer.
You may wanna check that again... make sure you keep your negatives in order....
When you plugged in -2 for x what did you get for # = #?
