Please help ! Choose the correct x-intercept and y-intercept of the equation 3x − 2y = 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when y=0 x=2 therefore x-intercept is 2 when x=0 y=-3 therefore y-intercept is -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theyre two answers i dont understands its like (2,0) & (0,-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah (2,0) is saying that x=2 when y=0, x-intercept is the x value when y=0 and y-intercept is y value when x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that would be the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes (2,0) and (0,-3) are the answers (2,0) is the x-intercept and (0,-3) is the y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it always 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes x always equals 0 in a y-intercept and y always equals 0 in the x-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you.
