my first question 1A-9c. Does the statement: g(x)=3f(x/2-1)-3 mean that f(x) =(x/2-1)? If so then f(4) =1. Then g(4)=3(1)-3=0, not 3. I must not understand the first statement.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it means that you're plugging into \( f (x)\) the value of \(\tfrac{x}{2}-1\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO, it means.it means you are substituting ((x/2) -(1)) in to f and then multiplying the result by 3 and then subtract 3 from the current result
