Let's say i have this equation like; [-7]__+9 I have to find the sign , with the abs. value . So do i change the Abs value into a postive number since it is a negative or do i keep it the same ?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

do u mean this? \[ \large |-7|=7 \]

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

sorry. i cannot make sense of what u wrote.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes , i mean absolute value , so if it's a negative it will change into a postive to make the eqation . llike |-7| <,>,= to another number example . like do i change it or do i keep it the same to find out the sighn

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

can u give me an example of the type of equation u r talking about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's nothing certain; but like |-9| <,>,= 10 Abs is always a postive right?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

yes. absolute value is always \(\geq0\)
