I saw a video of 'plasmodium malariae' cmiiw, at first i thought it was a virus. But in that video, it's more like worm in blood cell. Anyone can help, please?

P. malariae is a parasitic protozoa, that means, that it actually has an eucariotic cell structure and has diferent life stages, in some of them it could look like a "worm" as you said, but when it lives inside the mosquito that transmits the disease it is more like an small egg, you can look at CDC for deeper information or have a look at this link http://www.stanford.edu/group/parasites/ParaSites2009/ChibuzoEke_Plasmodium/ChibuzoEke_Plasmodium.html
