Find the area under the normal distribution curve between z = –1.34 and z = 2.95

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't know what 'z' is, sorry. more info maybe?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a normal distribution curve 'formula'. do you know what that is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

z=value-mean/standard deviation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_distribution You would need to find out to to integrate that with respect to z.

OpenStudy (pradipgr817):

Or for a normal distribution you have a standard table you can get the value from that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to find area = P(-1.34<Z<2.95) =P(Z < 2.95) - P(Z<-1.34) Find the z values using a standard distribution table to get the answer: P(z<2.95)=0.99841113 P(z>-1.34) = 0.090122672
