Factor completely 4c^2+20ct+25t^2

hartnn (hartnn):

can u think of 2 numbers with product 25*4=100 and sum = 20 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay 5 and 4 is 20, 2 and 10, and 20 and 1; for a 100 i got 50 and 2, 1 and 100 and 25 and four

hartnn (hartnn):

i want only 1 pair of numbers whose product is 100 and simultaneously those two number's sum is 20....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

none of my numbers i've listed can be used for a pair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, u tried well, the numbers are 10 and 10 ok?

hartnn (hartnn):

so now i will split the middle term 20ct as 10ct + 10ct , alright? u now have \(\huge 4c^2+10ct+10ct+25t^2\) now can u take out 2c common from first two terms and tell me what u get??
