What are some examples of situations where recrystallization would not be suitable to purify an organic compound?

sam (.sam.):

We will take water and ethanol, CH3CH2OH as an example, there is enough difference in electronegativity between the Carbon and Oxygen for the polarity of the water molecule to break this bond. Therefore, recrystallization will not occur. For recrystallisation, try something non-polar.
