In △DEF, what is the length of line segment DF?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

126 63radical 2 42radical 3 21radical 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is very simple Sqrt(DE^2 + EF^2) pythogorean theorem since its a right angled triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

63 sqrt of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me mr. G lol

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

this is another special triangle, 30-60-90. but lets use SOH-CAH-TOA you familiar wid that ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

@catlover18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what would that answer be ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt 21 sqrt 3

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats not the answer for sure. lets solve it... :) you familiar wid soh-cah-toa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

but good observations sqrt 3 will be there in the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on its 43 sqrt 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42*

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yep! you solve like this rest of the quesitons : sin 60 = 63/DF sqrt 3 / 2 = 63/DF DF = 63* 2/sqrt 3 DF = 42 sqrt 3

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good luck :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have another one u wanna help?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

sure :)
