Jake and Tina have a triangular logo that they want to duplicate. Jake uses a compass and a straightedge to make the triangle. Tina folds a piece of graph paper and traces equal segments of the triangle. She uses a straightedge to draw the lines. Which statement is most likely true? Tina is constructing the triangle because she uses tools like a straightedge. Both Jake and Tina are sketching the triangles because they are using approximate measurements. Jake is constructing the triangle because it is exactly the same as the logo and he uses geometric measurement tools. Both Jake and Tina are drawing the triangles because they are using tools like the straightedge.

what do you think ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

whenever somebody uses compass and straight edge, its a construction. cuz they take accurate measures of lengths and angles and do the exact construction

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

so Jake is doing what ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Jake is constructing the triangle because it is exactly the same as the logo and he uses geometric measurement tools ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right !! and tina is just drawing... cuz she used ONLY straight edge.

thanks
