can someone help me check this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24(p^2-1)=55p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i started 24p^2-24=55 then 24p^2-24-55p=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

55sqrtof-55^2-4(24)(-24) all over 2(24) which is 55-or + sqrt 721 all over 48

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

\[\frac{ 55\pm \sqrt{(-55)^{2}-(4)(24)(-24)} }{ 48 }\]

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

That 721 is wrong. You should have added the two numbers under the radical. That gives you sqrt 5329
