this may be wayy behind....what is the best version of python to use that will be similar to what everyone else is using. i have a little vb experience from last semester. i was told i should try this out. right now i have python 2.7...also...anything else i need? and whats up with the mechanical mooc?

The version the professor uses is 2.5.4 released in 2008.
