I am supposed to factor completely. Help! 3b^3-5b^2+2b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First factor out a b \[ b(3b ^{2} - 5b + 2)\] Does that makes sense? And do you know what to do from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really... haha would it be like factoring a trinomial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here let me show you how it can be done.\[3b ^{3} - 5b ^{2} + 2b\]\[b( 3b ^{2} - 5b + 2)\]\[b (3b - 1) (b + 2)\] That is how you factor it. If you multipled it all you will get the equation you started off with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is actually. \[b (3b+1) (b-2)\]

Oh okay :D Thank you!

Sure thing.
