Assume that 10 people, including the husband and wife pair, apply for 4 sales positions. People are hired at random. What is the probability that one is hired and one is not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The probability is the chance that one event happens times the chance that the other event happens. So it would be 40% for hired and 60% for not hired so the total probability is 24%. But its been some time since I don't solve this problems so I might have gotten confused.

I tried those, but they don't seem to work

Got it! P = (2C1) * (8C3) / (10C4) =112/210
