What is the definition of side length/is it the same thing as perimeter? example: find the side length of a square with an area of 100 m (little floating 2 after m)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The side length is just the length of 1 side of the square. The ''little floating 2'' after m is to represent metres squared. (\[m ^{2}\])

thanks! i forgot what the little 2 was called

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if the area of the square is 100 and we know that the formula for the Area of a square is: \[A=s ^{2}\] \[100=10^{2}\] Each side is 10m long.

ohhh thanks
