Can anyone answer a hard question for me?
yes I can
Depends on the question.
maybe. it depends, is it Algebra 1 or lower?
Will you post the question?
what is the question?!?!
Juan drives to work. Because of the traffic conditions, he averages 22 miles per hour. He returns home averaging 32 miles per hour. The total travel time is 2.25 hours. Find the time it takes juan to drive to work.
Average = total miles / hours -> hours = miles / average. hours1 + hours2 = 2.25
The total miles for each average is the same so your only unknowns are hours1 and hours2. Set up a system of two equations to solve.
I'm still confused... Can you write out how you solved it?
Average1 = 22, average2 = 32 hours1 = miles/22, hours2 = miles/32 miles/22 + miles/32 = 2.25. Solve for miles, then substitute back into the other equations to find hours1 and hours2.
What did you get?
What did you get? ;-)
I don't get it
