OpenStudy (anonymous):

im messing this up i know the answer is -209

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm ok how are YOU doing the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10-3[25-6(-8)]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know i messed something up there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm ok so next do -6 times -8 and then do the subtraction and then mulitply by three before finishing with subtraction... does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that wont give me -209

OpenStudy (anonymous):

perhaps it wants you to distribute the -6 before you multiply it to the power of 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would be too high

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then i'm uncertain.... i remember doing this but i'm not sure what to do first or even how to get to the number you need.... i'm sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know the answer is -209?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

book says it is and mathway lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10-3(25-6(-8))=10-3(25+48)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
