are fullerenes anisotropic or isotropic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depends. You'd probably call C60 isotropic, although strictly speaking it has dodecahedral symmetry, not the perfect isotropy of the sphere. But there are lots of others, in the shape of footballs, tubes, et cetera, and these would be anisotropic.

Sorry, it's icosahedral symmetry, not dodecaheral. Feh.
