Help please: Solve each compound or absolute value inequality. Give the solution set in both interval and graph form: 3x+5<8 or 2x+5 (greater than or equal to)11 I also need to do a check.... Any takers? I'm really not good at algebra and could use help from someone who loves math...

Okay just to fill you in on open study. You ask a question relative to the section you are studying. Once you ask a question people will come in and assist you to reach a solution. 3x + 5 < 8 subtract 5 from both sides 3x < 3 divide both sides by 3 to solve for x x < 1 the sign doesn't flip because we didn't multiply or divide by a negative number. ok now fo rhte other one 2x + 5 ≥ 11 subtract 5 from both sides 2x ≥ 6 divide both sides by 2 x ≥ 3 ok now we have to graph both of these equations Remember when graphing if it is ≥ greater than or equal to ≤ less than or equal to we use closed lines (not dotted) If they dont have the ..or equal to part they dotted lines so the first one will be dotted and then the second one will be closed |dw:1347419470130:dw|
