Identify the slope and intercept of the following linear equation. y=3/4x-2 A. Slope: 4/3; intercept: -2 B. Slope: -2; intercept: 3/4 C. Slope: -2; intercept: -3/4 D. Slope: 3/4; intercept: -2 *** My answer: D. slope=3/4 and intercept=-2 Am i right?!? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are correct! y = mx + b This is called the slope-intercept form because "m" is the slope and "b" gives the y-intercept. (For a review of how this equation is used for graphing, look at slope and graphing.)
