SOLVE Y=MX+B FOR X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok what you need to do here, is to isolate the term X, but at the moment it is attached to the m. So we need to isolate the MX right? How are we going to isolate the mx?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BY SUB TARCTING B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right! Good job! So now we have Y-B=MX. Right? So how do we isolate the X now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BY DIVIDING B I THIN IM RONG

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unfortunately thats not the case. X divided by X is one right? But we want to have X on the right hand side. So what do we divide both sides by to eliminate the M from the right hand side?

CAN YOU DRAW THAT SO I CAN UNDERSTAND IT FURTHER
