Can I delete the Question which I have asked ? I guess not. What could be possible problems if users are given this facility ? I know admins can.
Unscrupulous people were cheating by posting their tests and homework assignments, asking for (and, sad to say, sometimes getting) answers, and then deleting the posts so that teachers or parents on the web couldn't see that cheating had occurred. The responses and discussions that follow questions up are of interest to all students and teachers of a given subject as well as to the people who participated in the threads - it was unfair to everyone on the site, not just the people who took time to tutor askers on a given subject, that the content should be deleted.
oh, alright! I thought anyways no one would ever get back to the questions (ofcourse except for tutorials), then why to keep them as they would just eat up unnecessary space. But, now I get it. But, do teachers/parents really look up to the site to see whether any cheating was done ?
Teachers identifying cases of academic dishonesty have occurred. The teacher gets two or three answers which are identical, or is so surprised by the quality/style of the student's answer that they are suspicious. They Google it and get a hit on OpenStudy. :( I was party to one such instance and am sure there have been others.
