I get lazy, so sometimes I can't be bothered reaching for the mouse and pressing post (except this time). How about a keyboard shortcut?

That is an excellent idea. I always go to press enter to post it and it just starts a new line. Kinda weird actually.

Tab-Enter should do the trick for you, but we'll think about making shift-enter work. Because we value slightly more detailed answers, enter will never immediately submit your answer.

i do a tab-space to post; which makes chatting a pain since that does nothing for chats
