She sat alone, totally unharmed, not knowing what she saw, or what she will see or how she escaped, but she n=knew she would see it again. (figure out the beginning)

The most important part of the story is a solid plot with a great ending.  This is even more important in horror stories and short stories.  I would build an outline with a good begnning, rising action, culmination than, within the limits of your story a surprise/unexpected ending.
