I think the answer is not there.. or the question is misleading one.. research is based on a hypothesis, if there is a problem in total research, the problem may be with hypothesis or experiment methodologies selected. even the final result may change the initial hypothesis and lead to good scientific questions. if the problem means relevance of the research that would have been there while making the hypothesis itself (mean it is already known before the starting research )
