If the nucleotide sequence of a strand of DNA is TACG, what is the nucleotide sequence of the complementary strand of DNA? A. AGTA B. ATGC C. CTGC D. GTGC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would think it would be B why because i had this question along time ago so i say BBBBB!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm not sure what i think cause i don't know this . lol . but thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dark0nebeauty is right. It's B. There are just two things that we need to remember here: 1. A pairs with T 2. G pairs with C So, let's look at both the sequence in the problem (top), and the complimentary sequence (bottom). TACG ATGC You see how A and T go together... And G and C go together? That's how it works.

ATGC
