Reading books will not help you because this is an experimental procedure, and therefore will not be commonly found in books.

Google "veterinarians" online.
This could have details about the experimental procedure but you will find that there is a lot of rubbish mixed with it.

 Contact the local society for veterinarians.
I don't think they will be so forthcoming with an experimental procedure until it yields results.

Visit a local animal hospital.
This would be very tricky as they would not be doing the procedure openly as it is experimental, but if you happen to view the procedure or glance on a couple of notes, they will get you as far as you can possibly find out about this procedure.
So I would go with the fourth option:Visit a local animal hospital.
