The final "greening up" project at the White House is to install solar pods on the roof. Pods consist of 4 panels with a total dimension of 13 ft. x 4ft.. The White House roof measures 168 ft. long by 85 ft. wide. How many pods are needed to cover the roof? What if they decide to leave a 5 ft. walking path around the perimeter for the Secret Service--how many pods are then required? Is the correct answer - 274 pods and the second part - 250 pods?

The first part sounds good. It's actually 274.6, so idk if you should actually say 275, because you would need a part of that 275th one. For the second part, I got 227.9, so 228 I would guess. I think your problem was you only subtracted 5 from both dimensions of the roof. Remember the path is on both sides, so you should subtract 10 from each dimension!
