Identify the appositive in following sentence: “Our neighbor Mrs. Eddy is an editor.”

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An appositive is a noun or noun phrase that renames the noun right beside it. So in your sentence "Our neighbor" became "Mrs. Eddy" Appositive = "Mrs. Eddy" EXAMPLES: "Ralph, THAT LITTLE DUDE, plays the guitar in my band." "The insect, A LARGE ROACH WITH HAIRY LEGS , is crawling across the kitchen table." "A HOT-TEMPERED TENNIS PLAYER, Robbie charged the umpire and tried to crack the poor man's skull with a racket." P.S. You should put this into the Writing group next time; might get answered faster
