Again, this is open study, not open answer key. What do YOU feel is the correct answer. What would YOU do if you had to write such a story?

Any of these answers could be true or could be false. For example, a fictionalized account of a serial killer could be based on several real world examples combined together; frequently tales of fiction are based in part on fact. Conversely, the interviewed criminal might have had a totally bizarre reason for his actions that would not be shared by most other violent people (e.g. "I just hate the color turquoise" -- not really, just an example of a strange cause for violence). If this is only a multiple choice question, you need to look for context to get a sense of how deep you're expected to go into this. If this is an essay question, pick any choice but be prepared to support it well. Many times your teacher will be more interested to know that you are thinking about the question than whether you had the same idea as the person who wrote the test.
