Find the Value of X (3x+13) (5x-7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will have to get this into an equation first. do you know how to foil?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I never really understood it :C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply the first terms.. outside terms.. inside terms.. and last terms... so 3x(5x) then 3x(7) then 13(5x) then 13(7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that will give you a really long equation which is equal to 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then combine your like terms and your answer should be in the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0. then you can use the quadratic formula to solve.
