Just double-checking. Are you sure it says she SAVED $47, not spent it? If so, that means $47 is equal to the savings she got, which was 1/4 of the original price. In other words, $47 * 4 = the original price, which my calculator says is $188. The reason I wanna double check that she SAVED that much is cuz if the problem means she SPENT it, that means $47 is 3/4's of the original price, not 1/4. However, with what you've explained in your question, my answer would be $188. Perhaps if you explain how you got $58.75, we can find out whether you, I or neither of us were right, k?
