Express the product of 2.2 mm and 5.00 mm using the correct number of significant digits. A.10 mm2 B.11 mm2 C.11.0 mm2 D.11.00 mm2

Just a note, I unconsciously call significant digits sig figs because that how I was taught them. My bad D: First of all, you need to look at the minimum number of sig figs., since this is a multiplication problem. 2.2 mm has two sig figs, while 5.00 mm has 3. This means your answer will have two sig figs. Next, multiply 2.2 and 5.00. You should get 11. To 2 sig figs, this is still 11, so your answer should be 11 mm2
