\[\frac{y}{5}+\frac{1}{8}=-\frac{4 y}{5}+\frac{1}{4} \]Move the y term on the RHS to the LHS. Move 1/8 to the RHS and then simplify.\[\frac{y}{5}+\frac{4 y}{5}=\frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{8} \]\[y=\frac{1}{8} \]
