How do you solve a absolute value inequality? 5|2r+3|-5=0

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Solve it just like you would solve an equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but your supposed to get 2 answers?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Not each time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it's an inequality, there will be a range of answers. (or can be)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain how to do this one to see if im doing it correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your statement has an equal sign and not an inequality symbol. Is there meant to be a < or > in there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no never mind its an = sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) add 5 2) divide by 5 3) solve two equations \[2r+3=1\] and solve \[2r+3=-1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):
