If someone would be so kind to help me with this I spend all day trying to complete!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you read the book i assume?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Murlock is the main character.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i need just 5-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well Murlock didnt really have a malady.. his wife did..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think there talking about the wife

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry im trying to remember the book.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt it a short shory?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want me to post it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yeah.. i was just looking for it to read it again. as I remember.. she had a fever.. and no one to help so she died.. then the cat came and tried to eat her.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is the right story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but not a cat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use any five words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what class is this for? the reason I ask is that the Malady can be looked at as the absolute meaning.. like a sickness or what not.. but I think what they want here for for Murlock Malady.. meaning .. why was Murlock so miserable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or why was his condition so undesirable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really don't know :( i think there talking about his wife though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am a math major.. so i apologize. But with the wife, it says nothing about her condition, except that she had a fever and that she was delirious. it said that there was no physician for miles.. and that her husband couldnt go out for help so for 3 days she sat there sick and then died

OpenStudy (anonymous):

screwed.. there is a word that comes to mind.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also, that is a lot of words you need to describe such a small part of the story - i mean the wife.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how is the guy sick?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sick is just the main sense of the word. Malady can also mean any undesirable condition. For the irony of the story...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One example is that the frontiersman mistakes his wife's illness for death and in the process of preparing her body for a morning burial, he inadvertently bring about her actual death. (Specifically, he ties her hand with ribbon and lays her prone body near an open window where she is attacked and killed by a mountain lion during the night).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do you think I should put?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im really trying to think of words to describe the irony

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unfortunate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

regretful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry im bad at this. i just like writing... :) thus why i came here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay thanks for helping me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Murlocks Malady was that his wife died. thats what made him miserable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for this should i put words about his wife? 4. Give four words from the text which support the character is ailing.(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably the main character as well? I know the part where is supports that he is ailing.. but i cannot put it into 4 single words. Something besides years had had a hand in his aging.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lackluster eyes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are 4 words from the text that support teh wife is ailing - wife prostrate with fever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow i sound like and idiot :) sorry for wasting your time.
