When an organism is exposed to a limited quantity of oxygen, the cell's mitochondria will stop cellular respiration involving the Krebs cycle and enter the process of fermentation to survive. What conclusion can be drawn regarding an organism's ability to undergo fermentation? Fermentation makes more ATP than the cellular respiration. Fermentation does not require food. Fermentation uses more ATP than it is able to produce. Fermentation must create a net gain of ATP.

must be the choice ' Fermentation must create a net gain of ATP'. In fermentation , process using an endogenous electron acceptor..while respiration require exogenous electron acceptor (oxygen). but the both are for generating ATP, main purpose of mitochondria
