I'm a Chinese undergraduate in telecommunications 7 years ago. A fact I realize is that my math. knowledge is far from enough for my work in telecom. software engineering. But I don't know the approach to systematically study math. in English on/off-line. (I'm one of those who disappointed about educations provided in China Mainland). Can you guys give some suggestions? brs, Bruce
I highly recommend reviewing Algebra, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Multivariable Calculus first. All these are taught very well and in a straightforward manner in this site: http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/Alg/Alg.aspx After doing that, you'll be certain that you are well-equipped with the core math principles.
I'd also recommend brushing up on geometry to practice logic and proofs. TheMathPage.com has all of book I of Euclid's Elements. (+1 to @allank for Paul's Online Math Notes)
Studying some basic calculus-based physics too will give good practice for problem-solving. MIT's Open Course Ware has a lot of free video lectures that can be found at their website or on Youtube.
Thanks, Paul's Online Math Notes is a good online refresher for Math.
