The displacement (in feet) of a certain particale moving in a straight line is given by s= t^3/6, where t is measured in seconds. Find the average velocity over [1,3]

OpenStudy (allank):

What you want to do is get the displacement at t=3, t=1, then get the difference i.e. displacement change, then divide that by the change in time (3-1).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I find the instantaneous velocity when t=1?

OpenStudy (allank):

Plug in t=1 into the equation s=....
