does any one know any thing about the heart? Why is the right side of the heart thinner than the left side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The left side of the heart is thicker than the right because of the requirement to pump blood from the left throughout the body, as opposed to the right side pumping only through the lungs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_heart

well .. let me put it this way .. the right heart action is for short path ( blood goes from heart to lungs ) so it needs a thin wall of muscle but left heart take it to all parts of the body .. so it need a powerful pump .. and thats why its thicker !!
