what is difference between elctrode and sensor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mel Electrodes are semiconductors or conductors of electrons. Sensors provide digital or analog voltage (E)or current(I) or power (W) proportional to times, temperatures, humidity's and pressures of one or more circuits. In combination may be used as alarms such as "Check Engine" light on car dash.

electrodes can be used as input or output. Sensors are just used for input. Electrodes form a part of sensors in general. So electrodes in many ways can be used as sensors.

electrodes determine the direction of electron...while sensor senses the eviroment and generaly convert those into elctric signal of analog nature...
