Solve for x: (x+4) over 3=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x+4)/3 = 2 \] . Remeber, you can do whatever you like to an equation (+ - x or divide) as long as you do it to both sides. Since you are solving for x, you'll want to keep x to one side, and try to get it by itself by manipulating the equation evenly. To start, multiply both sides by 3 to eliminate the fraction.
