Mathematics 7 Online
OpenStudy (andriod09):

5(y-2)=8(y+7) find variables

OpenStudy (phi):

It is very tempting to say "y" is the variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5y-10=8y+56 subtract 8y from both sides -3y-10=56 add 10 to both sides -3y=66 divide by -3 y=22 **i could also be doing this problem very wrong since i solved for y which wasn't the question. ** i would assume the variable would be 5y and 8y

OpenStudy (andriod09):

the only variables there are are y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, i think he is right, the only variable is Y

OpenStudy (andriod09):

so then: 5y 110 8y 186 ??
