From the graph of g, state the intervals on which g is continuous. http://www.webassign.net/scalc/2-4-4.gif I got: [-4,2),(2,2),[2,4),(4,6),(6,8) is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mmm webassign?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you are missing some minus signs by the first two 2 in your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also the intervals should all be open, not closed i.e. ( instead of [

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example, the function is not continuous at 2 so do not put \([2,4)\) but rather put \((2,4)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and although this might seem tricky it is not continuous at \(-4\) because it does not exist on the left, so you need \((-4,-2)\) for your first interval

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-4,-2),(-2,2),(2,4),(4,6),(6,8) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that looks good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and why again did I have it wrong? can you explain it more clearly?
